Selecting TS 5x5 steel columns takes about 4 second?

Hi,
I have used TS 5x5 steel columns from AC 8.1 library. When I select the column to do any kind of operation (coping, dragging or zooming in) or even selecting it self, it takes about 4 second for the operation to take place!!! Any ideas why
