Shortcut keys

Since I upgraded to OS 10.6 from 10.5, my shortcut key F4 doesn't work. Can someone please help me to get it back to work?

Should be solved by:

System preferences/keyboard

check 'use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys...'

Also check:

System preferences/keyboard/keyboard shortcuts

to make sure there's no OSX shortcut for F4. I don't believe there is.

thanks.....i've unchecked F4 for osx but it's still showing up dashboard when I pressed F4 when I'm in AC.....maybe need to restart..let's see if that work.

check the function key setting in system preferences
