In real life the shutters wouldnt close into the masonry opening. We use functional shutters in our firm and need then to display correctly. Anyone have an idea of why the shutter makes that shift up?

This is probably no help. I will attach a screen shot of SmartParts windows. They may have more parameters to work with. I don't have AC's loaded, so can't check.

I have a similar problem with AC's library. In my case I just make a library part or two and place them manually. Although it can be a pain when things change, houses aren't too big...
Also you might want to check out ACE's library, http://www.archicad.ca/ , there might be something there that could work although I have not looked.

Thanks, our BIM manager made a custom object for us and it works like a charm.
