I am new to achicad 10. The option to change the slab thickness is in gray. Is there a way to edit it ?

Also is there a way to make walls or slabs invisible or like glass ?

Please help me out

Looks like you have a composite fill attached to it, if you change it to a vectorial & symbol fill you should be able to then edit the slab thickness.

Making the walls and slabs 'invisible like glass' means either:

assigning materials like glass to them in the wall and slab dialog box,

or

MAKING UP AN INVISIBLE MATERIAL. That would be a totally transparent material.

Archicad 10 does not show transparency in the 3D window - you must render to see transparency.

Hello Dwight,
You wrote: "Archicad 10 does not show transparency in the 3D window - you must render to see transparency."
In what sense do you mean this ?
I can turn ON or OFF transparency in shading in the 3D window in AC 10.
Thanks,

Excuse me for the generality.

I forgot about the internal 3D engine since it is years since i used it.

My comment is specific to OpenGL in the 3D window. Finally enabled in V11.

Another option for semi-invisibility is to set the object's layer to WIREFRAME in the layer settings / combination. I do this occasionally for glass balustrades in elevations.
