I am considerably slower than AC9.
Having issue with clicking a node and when the object is actually moveable I am actually holding the object not on the node I clicked but 1/2" - 1" away (screen distance). I have to drop the object and pick it up again... This one is way bizarre and linked to the lag thing...
I am having lag between actually clicking an object and being able to move the selected object.
Panning is way laggy using the arrow keys.
The conditions are the same for another workstation in office with an ATI graphics card.
Just generally less smooth drafting in 2D. It feels like it may have something to do with the graphics card but is the same on both my machines.
I also turned off tracker and guidelines to see if it helps but it doesn't seem to affect it.
Dunno.

Thank you for bringing up this topic. For days now I have been trying to get "in the groove" with AC10. The new selection features, changed menu layouts, etc have frustrated me. Now I will look into my options. Once someone figures out the optimum settings, could they post a message how to go about tweeking them.

You are welcome to view mine. I have removed the Teamwork menu as I do not require that.
I have endeavored to have some similarity between 9 & 10, for me that is.

I also got rid of my second monitor. I minimize my tool info palette via a keyboard shortcut when I don't need it (it is the biggest culprit by far as far as causing lag on the 30" monitor).
The lag is much more subtle on my 24" monitor and laptop.
Guide lines I turn on only when I need them but I don't think that impacts my lag issue much, if at all.
I am about to check your we's out for myself...

I liked your menus. I went ahead and made myself three new menus inspred by yours. I made a w.e. menu just like yours. I made an open views menu with lists of all open sections/ details/ and image (rendering) windows. I made a Layer Sets with lists of my layer sets and view option sets.
I am going to play with the calculate menu as well.
The menu settings are powerful tools as it makes all that information only one click away instead of two. Saves a little effort.
I also moved my tool palette to the side as per all of your set ups. It makes sense and it helps shrink the size of my info palette(

On the whole I feel I have gotten ac10 to work speedier than ac9. Just my problem w/ selection is my only complaint.
Thanks for sharing.

Wow, seeing that screen shot with all the real estate available for the plan makes me want to run right out and get a 30" monitor! It feels like even the 20" monitor I'm working on right now only leaves me a little window to work on.
