how do get AC to give me exactly a 7 3/4" rise?

Operating system used: Mac Intel-based Sonoma 14.4.1

There are 2 ways.

First is don't link the top height to the storey.

Then set the overall height which must be a multiple of the riser height.

The number of treads will automatically be set.

Or set the top link as 'Flexible'.

There is no overall height and you can set the riser height you want.

Now you place the stair with as many treads and risers as you want.

It could be 3, 10 or how ever many you need.
