TIP: New line in text fields

Hello,

Here's one small text field tip which might be helpful;

Text in the ID-field etc. can be divided into multiple lines using '\n' as a separator, '\t' works as a tab.

Wow, nice find!!! (just checking, it works for Zones too. Too bad the text over-runs the rest of the symbol))

It would be even better if that did not show up in schedules and such!

Darn -- I was hoping this would work for dimension strings -- no such luck...

My son often says I suffer from the odd "senior moment". Well if memory serves me correctly there used to be an "tip of the month" award.

Well I vote that Juha gets it for Nov.

And thanks to Marc also.

Just tried it and without doubt a bloody beaut tip

It's always worked in Section markers, for manually placing sheet number in bottom of marker. A natural progression from that perhaps?

It has been part of the GDL code for a long time, see page 22 for "Strings" in the ArchiCAD 10 GDL Reference Guide.
