TURNING OFF TRACE REFERENCE

this may be a silly question, but how does one turn off the trace reference after opening a source view with layout as reference? It is a very nice feature when arranging layouts, but I find it distracting when working on the actual drawing. Thanks.

Turn the T&R palette on and then you can turn the reference off.
The attached image is from an old version.

ALT+F2 should be the default keyboard shortcut.
