Thanks for the continuing Beta (Gamma...) work on AC10.

For the live of me I can not see using AC10 at this point and result in being MORE productive.

I do not know how all of you can efficiently more forward with projects in AC10 and continue reporting the bugs.

Thank, I know that GS will "iron" in all out. Maybe just before AC11. Then it all starts all over.

Who's reporting bugs? We're just humming along!

I LOVE 10 and have already been productive with it.

I can't wait to leave 9 behind, which I will use to complete jobs that are almost finished. Jobs in their early stages are being converted to 10.

I do look forward to using AC10, and like you leaving any previous version behind.

LOVE, well.. If I were to use strong words I would say that I LOVE (D) the previous ability to Object LInk Embed spreadsheet data and it would be a live link.

Way to bait us Jay!

Obviously it's not nearly as bad as you think...

You're just hung up on the OLE thing. Seriously, is using PDF's really that bad?

Cheers,

Fair enough Jay,
I cannot for the life of me understand why they remove functional features when they want to go to market with a long list of features.

But when I put my head down and start using the thing... Give me 10.
Personally, I am finding this release to be extremely painful and frustrating at the moment. Great feature set, but my last big (for me) project on 10 drove me nuts with sudden updating popping up, often hanging, checking drawings popping up, and lots of busywork and slowdowns not related to actually drawing the project. It made me feel like too much time is getting devoted to managing the drawings and keeping all this updating under control, rather than producing them. Going back and working in 9 feels like a relief for the moment.

Once the administrative stuff gets under control in a future patch, I think 10 will be great.

I could delete the last post, but yes I LOVEd the OLE.

My original post was truly to thank those that are helping (like yourself) to make the product better for us all. It just seems again like the Beta was cut short.

Big lesson: Don't leave your drawings on "Auto Update." It's a great idea, but takes FOREVER to look at a sheet.

Tom, if memory serves me well previously you said something like 'PMK, PMK all the way".
Personally GS has created a very large headache since discarding the Hotlink manager we used in 7''. Yes I said 7, if some can remember that far back.
I suppose GS will solve their dilemma some day. Being clever is one thing but this latest revision of plotmaker is just awful. I'm afraid the censor would get to me if I really said what I feel about the latest.
Richard is right I've migrated 2 projects back to 9.':x'
