The strange case of snap points in a fill

Anonymous

Hello everyone, there is something happening that I never experience before, I'm having snap points in fill lines.
This is the case: I made a custom symbol fill for a tile layout in the walls, then this fill I applied to the corresponding material, and as usual, I can't snap to the lines of the fill, but when I was working I found out that it was snaping in a curved wall as you can see in the video.
Honestly if this is a bug don't fix it, I'm happy about it, but the thing is, am I missing something here? Why is this happening? Does AC have the power inside of making snapable fills? Any ideas about why this could be happening?

Hi Arqrivas,
I tried to reproduce this in AC20 with a tile pattern, but was not able to do so. Please send me your file in a PM, so that I can look at it specifically. Thanks, k

Hi Arquivas, we looked at the file and here is what is happening. The snap does not work to the fill, it is snapping to the curvature segments of the wall. You can see that on the screenshot, but also can check it if you try to snap to the vector fill on the straight segment of the wall. When you try on the straight segment, the snap points do not come up. So the fill is still not snappable. Thanks for the fast reaction and the file, best, k

I think there is something else going on.

Hi, Katalin, Thank you also for the quick response, I notice before that there was no snap on the straight wall, but the funny thing I found in the curved wall was, that the snap points are appearing in the lines of the fill and not in a blank space, and even if I change the fill to another size it will present the snap points depending on the fill lines, even thought is showing dependence of the curved segments of the wall too.
