Tips on site plans

Anonymous
Not applicable
I opened an existing file (done by others) and I am wondering whether there is a better way (just transferring from VW). The proposed site plan had two viewports on top of each other ( ex. Sie plan and the proposed plan). In VW you have one viewport and you turn on the different plans ( in this case the ex site plan and the proposed plan).

Did my colleague set it up correctly or is there a better way?

Welcome.
That is a valid workflow in AC.
Another option is to use a 3D Document for the Site Plan.

In Vectorworks all Stories are displayed in the same Window. You have to play with the visibility of Classes and Design Layers to display what you wish to see.
In ARCHICAD you can go up and down Stories in the Floor Plan Viewpoint and only elements set to be visible in the Story will be displayed. So you do not have to play with the Layers to achieve it.
You can create as many Stories as you wish. So you could create a separate Story for the Site Plan and model/draw the Site Plan there.
