Tool tips do not appear in pet palette box

Hi,

New user currently working through several tutorials. At times I am having trouble following along because no 'tooltips' are appearing over the icons in the pet palette boxes. They appear elsewhere, like on the icons int he toolbars. And I tried toggling the 'hide help tags' button under the help menu to no effect.

Also, the icons in the pet palette box do not highlight; sometimes the first one I go over will, but none of the others will. Less important but possibly related?

Would appreciate any thoughts,

If you are on a Windows system make sure your display settings are scaled to 100% - Archicad does not like anything else.

Ideally add you system details and Archicad version to your signature which you can set via the 'Profile' link at the top of this page.
The correct answer for your problem can be influenced by these details.

OK will do Thanks Berry. I am running on a Mac but was able to switch the settings to the pet palette and that fixed the issue.

Glad you got it working.
I think I was on the wrong track anyway - was thinking of the tool tips on the tool box (I will learn to read properly one day!).

So what was the solution exactly? Other people might find this info helpful in the future.
So you did not see Tooltips in Pet Palettes. What did you do to fix it?

Of course:

Options >> Work Environment >> Dialog Boxes and Palettes

under 'Pet Palette movement', toggle from 'Follow Cursor' to 'Jump to preferred position'.

For whatever reason, this brought back the tootips under the Pet Palette icons as well as highlighted the icons in the Pet Palette when I scrolled over them (which was also not happening before).
