Updating Shadows in Elevation View

I'm studying how eaves & shading devices shadow windows during different times of the day/year in the ELEVATION window. (I don't want to do a 3D sun study ....yet.)

I set my Location, Date and Project North in: Image>3D Projection Settings> More sun

My Elevations are set to: Model Effects: Vectorial sun shadows >
Sun: As in 3D window

After changing the sun's time/day, I go to my elevation, rebuild ...but the shadows do not update.

Do I need to do more than hit "rebuild"?

I tried this and it seems that the Section/Elevation Tool does not take the Sun values if the 3D Engine is set to OpenGL.
Probably the reason for this is that in OpenGL there are no Sun Shadows available so any Sun parameter set does not apply when the 3D Engine is OpenGL. Therefore when the Section/Elevation Window will not take Sun values from the 3D Window as it does not apply under those circumstances.
Sounds logical to me but it is not documented.

Thank you everyone for your comments/suggestions.

I got it work by ..... selecting the Internal 3D engine.

BUT, there was a catch.

I have to open the model in the 3D window and "rebuild" it to show the "revised" shadows, ...... then open the elevation window and rebuild it.

Again... thanks.

Good to know. Thanks.
