User Vectorial Fills in Complex Profile Wall

I have tried to create a simple Concrete Block foundation wall with a plate and footer using a vectorial fill that I created according to the rules. Idea being that if I stretched the wall vertically in 8" increments the block coursing would show correctly. Everything seems to work up until you cut a section thru the wall and find that the fill is rotated 90 degrees. I have tried to rotate the fill in the profile manager as a work around with no luck. The built in 8" horizontal fill works fine, but I would like to get the double line at the mortar joints.

Any body have any ideas on what I have done or have not done? Attached is shot of fill, Profile editor window and the end result.

Hey Ted

Unfortunately this is a bug that GS is aware of. If you use a fill whose origin is set to 'Link to Fill Origin' or 'Use Distorted Fill' it will always be vertical and at the original size and shape. A fill's origin position will not be remembered by the profile either.

Just when you thought they were going to be useful....

Cheers,
Link.

Bummer! I suspected as much. At least the powers that be know about it.

Thanks Link.
