You can go to the 3D Projection Settings..., and click on the Parallel Projections... button to set up an elevation view for the 3D window so you can use the Hidden Line mode for the elevation, then place this view on a layout sheet (or print to PDF directly from the 3D Window). But I don't see what advantage this has over using the Elevation Tool to set up an elevation view of the model.

David,

Thanks, You've helped me very much! the point of viewing Elevations in hidden line is only for publishing my elevations.
I don't want to print the walls as gray blocks, i want to print only the contours of the elements, as in hidden line mode.
if there's an option of publishing the elavations which were created by the elevation tool in hidden lines, it would be the best solution for me.
Is there such an option?

thanks

I thought there used to be something in the hidden "Special Menu" that let you show hidden lines, but I never tried it.

Isn't this what you want? (Elevation settings)

Hey Guys,

How do you show the hidden roof lines on an elevation?

I have a Skillion roof with a Parapet on 2 sides and would like to show the dashed lines to the roof location and slope.

Thanks

Unfortunately, Archicad does not have this feature of showing hidden lines in Elevations (or in 3D for that matter). So you would have to add this drawing information manually.
