View Selection on Layouts

I've got this thing going on that has got me stumped I used to be able to right click my views on a layout and open the view source but now the option is gone. In fact, I'm not even able to select the view on a layout... it must be a setting that got changed but I'm unable to find it.

Have you inadvertently turned SNAP on? (S key shortcut)
