In AC 16, if I went to edit an element that had a cover fill and a solid background pen, and that element covered over another element or object, say rafters. Then when zooming in or out, the outline of the elements or object below because temporarily visible allowing one to quickly check on their location and making it easier for selection and modification.
Now in AC 18 elements covering other elements or objects remain solid and do not allow a view below while zooming.
Is there a setting anywhere to change this back to the AC 16 methodology?

Hi Erich,
I can confirm that there seems to be a bug in 18 that ignores the Work Environment setting which gave that prervious behavior. This might be a Mac-only issue...
I'll ask GS...

OK... With "Contours Only" or "Simplified Model" ... I get the old / desired behavior when I zoom in and out with the mouse ... but NOT when I pan... and it used to work with panning as well. Panning simplifies for me in 10, but not 16-18.
See what you see, Erich. And, somebody on Windows want to try this and see if panning always shows the full detailed model (all skins of composites and cover fills) like I'm seeing on OS X?
Thanks.

Karl,
Thanks, that was my issue. I thought I had captured all the settings from my old WE but I missed that one and had it set on Full Model.
As for Panning, it does not work in 16 onward for me either. I do not currently have earlier versions installed and I do not remember the older behavior.

Must be a Mac only issue.
All fills disappear when panning and zooming for me in 'Contours Only' or 'Simplified model'.
Tested 17 & 18.

Thanks, Barry. That helps to narrow it down to just panning on Macs...which makes it seem like a bug, or at least maybe an oversight. Will report...

Hey All,
We have checked this and can confirm that it doesn't work on mac as it supposed to be. Indeed on windows it is fine. We have added this to our database and will correct it.
Thanks for reporting,
Csaba
