Massive degree of misinformation and ignorance regarding ArchiCAD and BIM workflows in that thread (for example someone thinking that completely de-linked 2D drawings and elevations with no connection whatsoever to the original 3D model, still qualifies as a BIM workflow or process).
Years ago I would have felt compelled to jump in and correct those misconceptions. Nowadays, not so much.
Something about willful ignorance is immensely off-putting.
A lot of valid points were raised, but for the most part, it's the old pattern of someone picked up ArchiCAD (or was forced to use with without proper or sufficient training), didn't or couldn't bother learning to use it correctly and with a sufficiently organized workflow; struggled with it, and consequently concluded that it's a horrible program to use. (why someone would even want to use a program like ArchiCAD to model "pillows" and "cushions" with, simply boggles the mind - or why it's even necessary to document objects like those in a CD set)
