What do you think should be done to get Archicad a bigger market share ?

I personally find ARCHICAD way more powerful, easy to use, faster and all in all innovative than other solutions like Revit. However since Revit is backed up by Autodesk and long years of Autocad dominance, ARCHICAD isn’t leading in terms of market share, what do you think GRAPHISOFT should do better? Do you think it’s enough for them to just push for a better product ? Or is there something else you would do ?

Can buying Archicad become more affordable in Australia and what is the reason of Archicad selling way cheaper in USA

Hello guys,

This is a recent post example for one of the points I have addressed before in this same thread about Graphisoft needs to acknowledge the need to support students in colleges and universities.

Just have a look: https://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=35590
A good friend of mine have once told me that I´m so brute that I´m capable of creating a GDL script capable of creating GDLs.

I wrote several post ain about this topic, Learning materials are so poor, even the graphisoft learn website lacks of interesting tutorials,
I contacted Graphisoft to give me permessin to teach ArchiCAD , they told me there's no such service, only graphisoft train architects and designers...
how would they conquest markets without local trainers, without good advanced tutorials, case studies, certifications, etc...

since the fabulous redesign, I'm having trouble even finding the download page to have previous versions, I google them instead.
without good advanced tutorials, case studies, certifications, etc...
they do have certifications:
https://graphisoft.com/hk/resources-and-support/learning/graphisoft-certified-archicad-user
https://graphisoft.com/es/resources-and-support/learning/graphisoft-certified-archicad-professional
also case studies to a certain extent: https://graphisoft.com/us/bydesign

I find it pity that they put tutorials behind a paywall:
https://learn.graphisoft.com/visitor_class_catalog/category/8876

I've logged in and checked the materials, I don't get why all these are only available to the SSA clients for free, this should be baseline knowledge (apart from the BIM manager materials, of course). are the students eligible to watch for free, too? then why don't just put all the stuff on youtube with the rest? *sigh*
I contacted Graphisoft to give me permessin to teach ArchiCAD
do you need permission to teach?

That's nonsense! Nobody can prohibit you from teaching Archicad.

@ runxel
I mean, to open a center and teach archicad, and give students acess to certification tests ( like autodesk centers ). beacause professionals search for " trained and certified " users, ( i know certification DOES NOT mean user is mastering the tool , but it's a good paper to present when searching for a job .

@ furtonb
I didn't know about that certification !! i only thought there is the Archicad online test.

I think there should be more emphasis on "finishing dinner before having dessert".
Lots of great new tools and features, but what about fixing up the old legacy issues.
How can it be 2021 (AC24) and there are still so many fundamental flaws with the tools and workflows.

Surely a more robust, intuitive platform would be more appealing to any firm weighing up CAD software.

Intuitive - I like that word, it implies anyone with a basic skill set can work with the software without having to constantly wade through a manual to do the basics. Even after 25 years of AC use there are still essential elements that frustrate me as they don't work as expected.
