Why Doesn’t the Door Move Up When I Copy the Wall Upwards?

mrsneuna

When I copy a wall upwards in Archicad, the wall is duplicated correctly, but the door placed in that wall doesn’t move up with it — it stays in the original position. Why is this happening, and how can I make the door move together with the wall when copying?

Operating system used: Windows 11

Check the anchor position of the door.

If it is anchored to the storey, the door/window will not move.

If it is anchored to the wall base or wall top, then it will move with the wall.

Check the Anchor point of the door/window. Link it to the wall, not the story.

Thinking about it, a good wish to make would probably be for the Anchor storey to change when you change the Host Home Storey.
