Why won't section marker change to elevation?

I have one plan file that when I place a section with markers, I am unable to get it to switch to an elevation type (i.e. one marker in center). If I open up another plan, same loaded libraries, same marker type -- no problem.

Anybody have any suggestions? I'm stumped. I don't think there is a corruption in a particular maker, because they work fine in other plans.

Oops, never mind. I found the problem. Just in case it's instructive to someone else, I discovered that the Display Option for section markers when set to "Normal" disables the elevation type display. Not very intuitive.
