Window/Glazing size area

Our municipal body requires window and glazing areas to be shown on residential elevations and then to calculate the percentage of glass area as percentage of gross elevation wall area.

Is it possible to display a windows area on elevation? In plan?

You would need GDL to do this.
You would have to calculate these value in the Window Library Part, then maybe use a 3D Text command to display them on the Elevation.
I can't think of any better way right now.

The other way would be to use a Label in the Elevation but I don't know how the Label would get this value from the Window Object.

You could create a window schedule and have it show the total areas.

Not sure about the wall area and %s.

Beware this will only be accurate for rectangular windows.
Any other shape and the areas will need to be calculated in the GDL script.
That can be saved as a parameter in the object and that parameter can be used in schedules.
