Window-wall problem!

Anonymous
Not applicable
I'm having a problem with windows and gates that are drawn over 2 walls that are drawn on each other. (see attached pic)

How can I adjust so that my gate/window (that is drawn in wall 1 runs through in wall 2?

Can somebody please help me with this?

Thx!!

mark both walls

design > complex profiles > merge walls

I hope it will help.

I can't find any complex profiles under design...working with the 2010 SE..maybe that's why...

Any other possibilities?

Start Edition does not have Profiled Walls/Beams/Columns, therefore does not have those merge commands which would create such profiled elements.

You will need to place an empty Door or Window into that other Wall to cut out that hole.

I hope I could suggest a workaround, but honestly with such limitations I would not be surprised if Start Edition turns to Last Edition used by someone testing the software.

Please don't take this wrong, it is jut my way to say that it should be included if there is not an easy alternative offered. Remember, the Start Edition user is regularly a Start / Beginner user, he needs a "frustration-free" tool.

Best regards

Ok thanks everyone, it worked fine by placing a emty window or door in the other wall!

And I agree that the SE often brings some frustration in my work!
