Won't allow me to add a door in a wall !!!

Hi

Can anyone help I have opened an existing drawing that was done in Archicad and need to do some alterations. I have been trying to insert a door but it wont allow me to add. If i draw a new wall on the drawing i can add the door. I have noted that the wall was grouped so i have ungrouped and tried again with no effect. Does anyone know what could be causing this ????

Did you do the Archicad file that you are trying to edit?

Try to insert the door in 3D ... there you will see what is happening.

It sounds like the wall you are trying to place the door in is in a hot-linked module or a referenced PLN. If so, you will need to open the module or referenced PLN to place the door.

Is the wall a polygon wall? Inserting openings into these was only introduced in ArchiCAD 10.
