What could be the cause of the following issue in ArchiCAD 29?
Operating system used: Windows

It seems that the problem is related to what you're mentioning here, and the solution is not found through the reference link. Apparently, ArchiCAD 29 requires all users to use the absolute origin (0,0). Unfortunately, construction projects are georeferenced. Professionals must work based on the location of project sites.

Archicad has always been like that... Is that not what the Survey Point is for?

I've always used the same georeferenced points from local jurisdictions by importing their local data from AutoCAD. This allows me to work with the same reference points with different stakeholders.
To be honest with you, I've never paid attention to the ArchiCAD survey point feature. Can that really help resolve these issues ?

There are a lot of issues that happen when you work far from the Project Origin, more so if you have things both close and far. It has always been like that as far as I know. Surprised you have not run into it before. Maybe in this project you have some axis lines in your imported file that go to the origin making it worse, and hence more noticable. A lot of georefenced surveys I get are like that, but I just crop the import and move the site to the origin.
