There is a keyboard shortcut in Work Environment which lets you switch between your currently active Tool and the Arrow Tool, back and forth.

hi
you can use (Esc) puton ,because it's the default shortcut to the select arrow tool in Ac9

The reason I did not suggest the Esc button is because it is a multi-level action button.
Lets say you have a Marquee on you Floor Plan, plus you have selected elements and are moving them.
In such a case the first Esc cancels the move operation
The second one unselects the elements.
The third one clears the Marquee
The fourth one switches from the active Tool to the Arrow Tool.

But the Arrow Tool/Last Tool Toggle (that's its name in Work Environment) always achieves this in one step.

Hey Rakela, so would I.

What's the point in having a shortcut to select the arrow tool, if you still have to trail the mouse up to the top of the screen to pick the mode?

A certain other program (which shall be nameless) gives you one type of selection box if you drag from top left to bottom right and the other type if you drag from top right to bottom left. Now there's a clever idea!
