AC has many possibility for the presentations.
How do you make beutiful elevation with AC?
Rendered elevation ist Bitmap, not so good for elevation...or?

Here are some examples.

Here are some elevations done by one of our clients. Just set up elevations (Parallel View) in the 3D window and then rendered them.

I tried to combine Bitmap-Elevation (3D rendering window) with vector (Elevation).

Vector-Elevation ist necessary to measure (or for other effects)
Lines can be deleted and measurement can be done in Elevation window.

Ok, now I know what you are looking for. If you set up the elevation (parallel view) in the 3D window, draw a Marque around the elevation and choose Edit/Copy you will get a dialogue box that will let you save as a scaled drawing. You can paste this onto you floor plan or into a Section/Elevation window. Then you will be able to add annotations.

I have used a proceedure similar to Woodies for several projects, by placing a rendered elevation (JPEG) over the vector elevations on a sheet in PM. It requires messing around with the DPI of the JPEG to get the two to sync but prints via PDF quite well

Especially if the resultant sheets are reduced in size.

Can you please explain, what you mean?

Since JPEGS do not scale in PM but are affected by the DPI setting when the pic is selected, by trial and error the "scale" of the JPEG can be set to match the underlying vector drawing - resulting in a rendered elevation that is to scale. Each JPEG has an individual setting so the trial and error way is the only way I have found to get the presentation drawing to be of the quality required for the local agencies.

And don't forget you can do "quick sketch" like views used a saved .pmk file with lines converted to wiggly sketch style, then overlaid with a rendered image (I like to edit in an image editor and use a slight blur filter over it)

I prefer this technique over the built-in sketch renderer that take too long to do and tweak to get right. The attached example is a perspective of course, however the same technique works for section cut aways and elevations

It looks very nice. But I can't understand exactliy, how you use the technique with pmk file...

It would be great, if you can explain more detailed...
