I am also a very new convert to archicad.
But i have used revit for the last 3 years.
I wanted to know.
When i create two levels and make a wall.
can i attach this wall to the two levels, so later if the levels change, the walls will automatically follow?

Thanks.
Ian

I had some free time and kept playing around with the previous fast, dirty, ugly, and simple object to see what came out and what other options could be available for walls.

I'll stop with this one here. I know it's not the GDL Forum or the Object Depository, but I still wanted to post it here since it is still related to floor-to-floor height, and the code is somewhat commented and could be useful to other people.

It´s a simple cube, with automatic height adjustment, with height options of manual, to next story, to top story, top bounding box and a specific story. These could be added to walls as well, of course with further study.

In its current state can be used as a 3D vertical shaft opening, that you can put in the bottom story, set its height to the top one, SEO from other slabs and forget about it. It'll self adjust to level changes.

If/when I develop it further (pens, materials, backgrounds, etc), I'll post it to the Depository.
Cheers everyone!!!

Hi There,

I'm new to archiCAD 14 (using MacBook Pro - Lion OS) so pardon my ignorance!

For some reason if I click down on the spin wheel of my mouse it won't allow me to grab and pan across the worksheet like I know it can, instead it goes to mission control - does someone know the magic trick to this?

I've fiddled with the mouse settings and mission control settings in system preferences and also just clicked the scroll ball in the ArchiCAD shortcut for pan but to no avail...

Thanks for you help!
Sarah
Odd that your post was added to this thread.

I do know that Graphisoft does not recommending using Lion yet -- that may have something to do with your problem.
