Hi:
I've created a custom picket (post) for a railing. Everything is fine with it, other than the posts extend about 2' beyond the limits of the rail, please see image attached, which shows the angled pickets extending beyond th etop and bottom rail on the left of the image..
How can I correct this?
Thank you,
Phil

I am not sure how you created this but it looks like you have used a group of 7 pickets to create a custom post?
You want just one picket saved as a custom baluster.
The balusters go between the inner and outer posts (which can be invisible).

GDL elements created by Save-selection-as are placed in their entirety. There is no trimming boundary that will automatically make it fit. Some tools will stretch the element to fit, but in most cases that is not what you would want either. Your best option is as Barry has mentioned, that being to create a custom baluster instead. That is unless you have lots of free time and want to dive down the coding rabbit hole...

You should create a railing panel with the exact height you need for that part. It is fixed, it will not strecht.
Then set your inner posts as None and their separation should be the spacing you need between your new railing panels.
