cutting into mesh

I am wanting to integrate facilities into this hill. is there a way to cut to thru the mesh?

Just like any other polygon ... select the mesh with the mesh tool active, draw the hole. Done.

i would go with a SEO also.. due to it(the mesh) being able to repair itself if u change your mind on whats going in the hole
