drawing window scroll bars

I apologize in advance if thgis has been discussed ad nauseum, but I cannot find a reference using the search capabilities. How does one reset the scroll bars in the drawing window? Mine are stuck (either bottom or to, either left or right) no matter the zoom or pan. It makes it extremely difficult to move around the window in shallow increment.

Restarted Archicad and machine-- did not fix problem.

Thanks

Rip,

You really should get away from using these scroll bars. Since pan was made available using the scroll wheel button, this is really the only way to go. If you don't have a scroll wheel button, then you should really consider getting one. You'll probably be 25% more efficient than you are now.

Cheers,
Link.

My scroll wheel zooms as opposed to pans. I assume you refer to the wheel on the mouse.

If you have a Scroll Wheel "Button" ..... rolling it will zoom in-out, depressing itl while moving the mouse will pan.

Guys-

The wheel atop my mouse does nothing but zoom, depressed or not. I can pan w/ arrow keys as Dwight suggests.

You will need to trash all your mouse software. We can all use arrow keys, but the scroll wheel is still the best option IMHO.

If this is the case then you must have some mouse software controlling what happens as Link suggests. Sometimes that software allows you to let another program set how the mouse behaves (Intellimouse software on the PC, for example). See if this is the case with the software directing your mouse. Otherwise, if ArchiCAD is the main software you work in, I would dump the mouse software. As Link says... using the scroll wheel as intended in ArchiCAD is not only a big time saver it's one of those things which will cause you to say, "WOW"
