ifc class and ifc type

Hello community,
I am confused with what is the difference between ifc class and ifc type? How are they linked? Can someone give me an example since i am not expert in the field.

I wondered about ifc type and class and I have understood this :
IFC Class are into IFC TYPE
IFC type could be IFCsite for example
IFC classes could be flower, tree or ground which are into the same IFC type "IFCsite"
