library Lightworks settings

I made some changes to settings of materials in the typical AC 9 library. The changes were made to values in the Lightworks engine. (Emission, etc.)

I opened another .pln and inserted floors of the first project as a module. However, the value settings in the materials are not the same. Is there any way to transfer those settings, or do I have to do it manually.

i presume you're talking about changes to the material settings? you can use the 'Attribute Manager' to import your materials from the old file into the new one. Options>Attribute Manager... and then go to the materials tab across the top. in the left-hand well you'll see all of the materials in your new project. in the right-hand well choose 'Open' and find the older project who's materials attributes you want to import. if you simply modified existing materials, you can choose to 'overwrite' the whole set. if you made new materials, you may just want to check the index numbers of the materials attributes to ensure you're not going to be doing any damage to the new file . . .

Upon further reflection....what you're saying is that each drawing carries it's own material library with it, rather than all drawings pulling from a common material library?

Is there any way to make one library common for all drawings?

You can use a drawing like a model—or a template file — to carry, lines, fills and materials, pen charts, layers —and sometime layers combinations…—.

You must only create an archicad file where you regulate all your parameters as you want— lines, fills and materials, pen charts, layers— save as template or normal archiCAD file and use this "template" when you begin a new file.
You may load your office library with him and you have your own workspace.
