need help on my fly through. (it's not right)

I need some help on my fly throughs i couldn't find in the help menu. I have created my fly through, however, it plays really fast so how do i adjust the speed of the fly through? The second thing is in a multi storey building how do i move from level 1 to level 2 in a fly through and when i place the cameras in level 1 they also show on the floor plan for level 2, so how do i make them seperate?

Not sure if that made sense. I placed all my cameras and completed my fly through for level 1 and now i want to do the same for level 2 but when i click on level 2, all the cameras i placed onto level 1 are already there. Do i just delete them and put new ones in?

I want the fly through to continue throughout the entire building in the one movie though.

Cameras aren't related to stories.
Their placement is absolute.
If you need to change elevation within one continuous sequence, figure out how to climb a stair with them or something.

For separate sequences, make a new 'path" and control the visibility of each separate path using the camera dialog. ["Path" button]

As for speed, you've got to relate the number of frames between each camera placement with the playback speed. Assuming 30 frames per second [? somebody confirm ? ], calculate how many frames you need to get the required animation length. ["Path" button]

But whatever you do, Archicad makes bad fly-thrus because the camera cannot be smoothly accelerated nor each camera target smoothed.

How do i calculate the number of frames needed?

baz88,

Two things you need to do:

Set the number of frames between cameras: A. go into your camera tool settings and click the Path button B. in the Path Options window under the Motion Resolution header change the number of frames in the Inbetween frames field. If you are going to set the frame rate to 30/sec in the following step then you would insert 30 in this field and it will take one second to move between cameras. if 60 is inserted then it will take 2 seconds to move from camera to camera.

Set your frame rate: 1. go to Document > Creative Imaging > Create Fly-Through... 2. In Create Fly-Through window click the Set button under the Result heading next to the Image Compression check box 3. in the Compression Settings window select your frame rate from the Frames per second pull down field.

See attachment for steps illustrated.
