priorities, solid element operations - relationships

Not applicable
at the moment, I am not understanding this so well.

I need help understanding priorities and solid element operations and how they effect one other.

can someone point me to a tutorial video or something?

I have items that are all out of whack visually. showing up transparent, furniture that is knocking holes in slabs, all sorts of stuff.

I have used generic slabs, to "mask/crop" out areas that I don't need. in this instance, I have cropped out a flat spot on some topo that I can set my foundation on. I obviously don't need to see any topo info above the slab. I also don't want to just delete it either.

the problem is that this slab (that I have on a turned off layer) is effecting everything! that it touches in some way.

thanks in advance.

These posts are from before Building Materials, but should help:

It sounds like you need to put the slab and the mesh on a different layer intersection group so that they don't affect the junctions of other elements.

Your typical layers are probably on 1. Set the mesh and cutting slab layer to something else, like 10 or 99.
