I have a stone veneer clad 24" thick wall. Studs are 2x4s. I want to put arched openings in the wall. The only way I have been able to get more than one skin [appear] to turn in plan is somewhat convoluted and still needs cleanup in the plan view.
This problem starts with the Door Selection Settings box on the parameters tab, CAVITY CLOSURE: the line "No of skins to turn" behaves as though it should read "which skin do you want to turn?"
The closest I have come so far to approximate this is to
1. First place a DOOR, not an opening, in the wall
2. Set CAVITY CLOSURE to TURN IN so the veneer turns in to set back door
3. With the syringe option/click alt/click the door to get its settings and apply them, ctrl/alt/click or cmd/option/clk, to an arched opening in the PREVIEW WINDOW OF THE DOOR SETTINGS BOX.
The problem with this is I still have those nasty lines between the turned skin and the fills of the opposite side of the wall i.e. the fills don't clean up as discussed elsewhere. I can add covering lines or create a patch.
Could anyone share how to correct the GDL so we can correctly control the number of skins as well as which skin(s) to turn?
