problem with SEO on slab object and intersection with wall

The picture below is snipped from a section I am working on. This is looking at the slab of a garage as it intersects with the concrete wall panel system we are working with, which rests on a compacted stone base instead of a typical concrete footer.

For the fill under the garage's concrete slab, I've used a slab object. The concrete slab is a roof object. The stone 'fill' slab intersects the complex wall profile according to priorities and the concrete 'slab' roof sits on top of everything graphically. The concrete 'slab' is used as an operator on the stone 'fill' with upwards extrusion. This apparently doesn't change the way the slab cuts into the wall. The result is that you can see the drywall and cavity of the complex wall profile are still cut as if the gravel fill slab weren't booleaned (note the hotspots of the slab). How can I make the gravel fill slab intersect the wall profile properly or otherwise fix this problem both in 3d/2d?

And one way to do it graphically would be to split the gravel 'fill' slab into multiple slabs to keep below the top surface of the garage 'slab' roof.
