i have created loads of custom objects and made all of them favourites but they are in the embedded library which i understand, makes my project file bigger. i work with solo projects only and in help it says to save them in a company folder on the BIM server so they are available for multiple files. are there any other sensible options? right now i've created a template file that has all my preferences, favourites, custom objects etc. and i use that to build new projects on. i'm afraid that the template file will one day become corrupted or something and i'll have to start all over again.

WB,
You save out your embedded library in one of two ways:
1) Using Library Manager export embedded library to a folder. This will save out each GSM file individually within the folder.
2) Extract a Container file (.lcf) which will store all of your objects in a single file. It can later be extracted if you need to manage individual objects within the library.
See attached. HTH
Best regards,
