saving from model view to dwg

Perhaps there is something in the model of that floor that the DWG translator doesn't like. Is there anything about it that's different from the floors above and below? You could try partial models of the story you want to save. If some work and others don't this could help isolate any offending parts.

I have seen that error message before but can't remember if it means something specific or just indicates general failure.

Strange. Is there anything unusual about the story settings? Is it the ground floor (zero elevation)? Is it zero height?

Did you try copying back to the original floor? Perhaps the transfer process fixed some minor flaw in some element.
