short line from lamp in shaded view

We are looking at lights (recessed spot) in the shaded view and we are getting a short line from each light. Is there anyway to turn that line off?

You might have "show light cone" on in the dialog

That was the first thing I turned off. THere is just one line coming strainght down about a foot long.
