strange roof - construction problem

can anyone tell me if its possible to build this roof? and how ? 🙂
and that little thing over the entrance? its built in autocad but i want it in archicad

You could do the one over the stairs as a Profiled wall too, just as two different ones, one for the "solid" frame and one for the wood joists. It would be a small maybe 1') length, then the joists, then another 1' length going side-to-side across the stairs. No objects needed and highly editable.

guys all this is great but i couldnt do it with the profile thing. too difficult and i think i m missing sth here. anyway. ill keep trying.

Nice screenshots/examples of use of profiles, Matthew ... perhaps you would make this a Wiki article? 😉

A downside of using a roof (or beam) as Matthew has done is if you want to create a single schedule of your roof surface area (e.g.) - since these 'roofs' are not created with the Roof Tool. Tricks have to be brought into play to get proper schedules.

but actually i've faced some troubles.. regarding documentation... " the right appearance in floor plans"

and sometimes trimming other waals to that.. because of auto-trimming of walls.. i had to change priority to make SEO works
