Hello John
Besides using the wheel on a mouse. (can't imagine working without it)
There are the little zoom icons at the bottom of each window.
Otherwise you will need to go into the Options/Work Environment and add them to your menu.

Are you saying that you actually want to go to a sub-menu to zoom in and out?

of course not -
I wanted to make a shortcut and as far as I know I need a menu item to make the shortcut. I know I should get a scroll mouse but…

You can get a basic optical logitec for $15 that will do the trick. If I were you I would order it today - you will never go back.

absolutely! i was a die-hard, one-button, mac freak. but the time and effort saved with archicad once you start using a three-button mouse is simply unmeasurable.

if you like 3 buttons, try 5, and program the thumb for "enter" in most programs and "back" in internet explorer.

You definitely should. I am very happy with the Mighty Mouse. The ball is quite sensitive and takes some getting used to, but is very nice and quick once you do. The omnidirectional scrolling (in other programs) is a very nice feature.
