Why do certain walls show up in the plan but not show up in the building section?

More information is needed about your specific problem. You can't expect others to imagine/explain all the possible reasons this could happen. A screen shot with a little explanation of what you are trying to accomplish should do the trick.

Are these walls on a layer that is hidden in the "layer combination" for that section view?

I am trying to get a building section to show up properly. I would like all of the walls that are in the plan to show up in the building section model. As of now about 80% of the walls show up but the other walls are simply not included in the section, as if they were turned off completely. I can see instead all the objects that lie behind the missing walls. If I were doing this properly I shouldn't be able to see those objects at all because they would be behind the walls in the section view. I'm sorry, I don't know how to do screen shots. Hopefully this is more descriptive.

If you include some information in your signature, like AC version and operating system we could help you better.

Screenshots in Windows: PrntScrn button, paste into image editor

Mac: Apple+Shift+4 and use cursor to pick area of screen.

Regarding your wall problem, is there a possibility that you have two walls in exactly the same location (on the same OR different layers) as these will cancel each other out in section?

It begins to sound like you have duplicate walls occupying the same space. They will cancel each other in 3D and thus appear transparent (or nonexistent).

Maybe I'm missing something, but which walls are not showing up? If there are not duplicate walls, have you checked wall elevations and layer settings?
