This is more a GDL related question. I'm aware of how to create parametric objects with Param-O that rely on extruding complex profiles. However, this method has the inconvenience of needing such complex profiles to be present in the file when using the object or no geometry will be shown. Is there a way to embed this information into the GDL object so that no external elements are needed for the object to work? I would like the objects to be stand-alone and not need my library to go along with them.
Thanks

Param-o can use a GDL object, but a GDL object is not a profile definition.
A GDL object can use profiles, but you still have to have them as attributes in your files.
You can create 'pre-set' profiles or PRISMs in GDL so you could use this object in Param-o, but you only have limited control of object parameters in Param-o (is it 4?) so you would have a very hard time of controlling it in Param-o.
Also you would need to ensure that object is in the loaded libraries as well.
That would be just the same as ensuring the profile attribute is in the file.

Embedding a complex profile in param-o is not possible but you could create the profile itself in param-o by merging several basic forms.
