Grasshopper = Archicad workflow

Hi,
I have started digging more and more into workflows in Grasshopper and was wondering about one thing.
How do you manage the connectivity between your newest Archicad built version and Grasshopper?

As far as I have seen Grasshopper works always with a lower built version then the one officially on the market. For AC22 we use the 7000, whereas Grasshopper works only on 6021.
Do you do a lot of copy/pasting between versions or simply work in the official version which allows the connection?

We try and stick with the officially supported versions - and if critical to the project do not upgrade until GS releases an update... I am sure some are more adventurous than us though, so would also love to hear their experiences.
