11 favorites to 12 favorites

Is there a way to transfer all or most of my favorites settings that were based off of V11 library to V12 library? It would be quite time consuming to save new favorites in V12.

And or saving a previous template made in V11 to V12 with the V12 library etc?

And I guess the same with layers, line types, fills etc.?

Thanks,
Jim

For the record, I do like to migrate my template file from version to version - which includes all the attributes, favorites, views, publisher, model view options, layers, layer combos, etc., but I do start my work environments from scratch (until I research how to show "all new commands" I read somewhere).
Dennis, did you just open your AC11 template in AC12? Or did you use attribute manager to import settings into a 'fresh' file?

p.s. - I agree that a lot of the debate in this thread stemmed from my fast and loose usage of the word template (my bad). For the record, even Karl acknowledged there isn't an official term to describe what I was trying to describe with my 'burrito' template. And had you read my previous comment I explained why I asked for people to post 'detailed' methods for version migration.

Thanks for the helpful link Lazlo! I did notice that some of the links don't seem to be working properly on the ArchiWiki migration article.

I opened my AC11 template in AC12 and used attribute manager to see if there were new linetypes, fills, and materials that was worthwhile to imprt from the factory AC12 template file.

I already have my pensets, layers / layer combos, and favorites set up the way I work, it's a lot easier to do it this way.

The bulk of my customizing work has been going into setting up the layer combos and favorites - which have layer and pen number stored in them.

Great post! Thanks Dennis. It's nice to hear how other folks do things. Did you have any trouble with your favorites? Sounded like Jim had a couple of tough ones he had to manually recreate.

You are right, two pages don't contain any useful info.
I let GS know.
