Hello Everyone,
I have recently migrated my Archicad 28 template to Archicad 29 using the Central Innovation Migration Launchpad.
The migration process appeared to complete successfully with no reported errors; however, I have noticed that the door tags and door labels are no longer functioning correctly within the migrated template. The tags either do not display the expected information or are not reading the door data properly.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue when migrating from Archicad 28 to 29? If so, could you please advise what may be causing this and the best way to resolve it?
I am also interested in hearing about any other issues or items that users should be aware of when migrating templates to the new Archicad 29 library packages. With the transition from the previous Australian library setup to the new global library packages system, I want to make sure I haven't overlooked anything that could create problems later on.
Some specific questions I have are:
Any advice, experiences, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help.

You are on to something there.
I just added the original 28 mapping table found at the bottom of this page ...
https://www.graphisoft.com/en-au/downloads/?section=mapping-value-table&localization=AUS
The rest are all just updates and not the full mapping table.
Maybe they should be installed as well - I think each "added parameters" table might need to be added just so they are upto date with the latest library.
Assuming the library has been updated as well.
Now I see the tags & labels page.
There must be a parameter in the objects that turns this on/off.
But that seems a bit strange to me.
I see a parameter to turn the actual tag on/off or use the MVO settings to show them, but not one to show/hide the UI page.
I will investigate one day.

So, anyone creating a 28/29 template from an older version file will need to ...
Load the library packs requires.
Set a localisation.
Load a value mapping table.
This should set the template up to use the libraries with you local language/regional settings.
Old files from previous version will not have any mapping table by default.

I am pretty sure I have never loaded any of the GS mapping table updates... The mapping table I am using is a modified version of the original AC28 one... I am assuming you looked in one of your older loaded versions with the defult mapping table?

The 28 mapping table I used was from the Graphisoft download page.
https://www.graphisoft.com/en-au/downloads/?section=mapping-value-table&localization=AUS
You could also export it from a 28/29 Graphisoft template and then import that.
Any file that was created in 27 or before and open in 28/29 will not have a mapping table.
It seems we will have to add one to get the full functionality of the library parts.
I can understand a mapping table changing the default values of parameters so they can map with an individual office template,
but I would not have thought it would be used to turn on/off hierachical user interface pages in the object settings.
And if that is the case there should be a parameter that allows the user to turn that page on or off.
Maybe there is but we can't see 'All Parameters' list in the objects because Graphisoft hides that too!
