Building Material Value Limits

Can anyone tell me the character limit for the "Description" parameter of Building Materials. I am setting up an automatic attribute generator so i need to know what limit to put on this field.

I have found the Building Material name has a character limit of 255 though I will probably keep the content I create under 32 characters. However, for the Description value i got to 500 and then got bored counting so thought I would ask the good people here so everyone can get the answer.

I have checked it and the character limit for the Building Material Description field is indeed 1024 characters, just as I thought.
