Changing Element Layer takes two attempts?

Two of our users report that on occasion, they will have to change the layer of an element twice before it actually sticks. It's random on what type of element, existing layer, new layer, and view in which the layer change is being attempted. Does anyone else have this issue? Both users are on the same AC and macOS, which makes me think an update will fix it. Thanks!

Are they changing multiple types of elements? Ie. if they have say a wall and a beam selected, it will only change the layer of one element at time.

to change all selected elements to a particular layer, you need to use "edit selection set", then you can change all elements to a different layer

Thanks for the response; that's the first thing I asked when they presented the issue, but it happens with single elements.

Are they changing it via the settings dialogue or the toolbar dropdown?

I think that on the rare occassion that instantly closing the dialogue will sometimes ignores the last modification. Pausing for quarter before confirming usually avoids this. This was in terms of text inputs and I have not noticed it recently so maybe they fixed it.
