Default assignment of Classifications

Dan Smedley

My template is not automatically assigning a default classficiaiton for modelled elements. I've looked at past posts and have found the 'Edit GDL Library Parts' Toolbar and the 'Subtype - Classification Mapping' window but it doesn't show all the classifciations that can be ticked a align assignments. See images of what I was expecting from forums v what I am seeing. I've tried re importing ArchiCAD Classification 2.0 but no change - when I look at the classificaiton manager it has all the classifications I would expect.

Any thoughts would be helpful - Thanks

So, if I understand correctly, the top image is what you expect, and the bottom image is what you actually see in your Template file?

Is this your own Template file or the Archicad Template file?

Justa guess: Do you have any libraries loaded in your file?

Correct

Our own template but started from an ArchiCAD Template a few versions ago so we've done something while changing the template

Yes Libraries loaded.

Which Archicad version are you using?

Is it possible that you started this Template in a version where there was not even a Classification feature? Like around Archicad 19 or 20?

In any case, you might want to contact your local reseller. They should be able to tell you if there is anything you can do about it.

There was another topic where a Support article was mentioned. Here it is:

Can you check to see if applying one of the methods solves the issue?

Also, before you do that, make sure you are on the latest Update/Hotfix.

Hi, I'm having the same problem. Have you found a solution?

Thanks in advance.
